Eventgroove Fundraising Platform Fee Options

How much does Eventgroove charge? Choose from two pricing methods.

FREE PRICING

Eventgroove is free to nonprofits and participants. Donors are shown a non-mandatory tip that covers the service fee at checkout. If a donor does not tip, your organization still pays $0 in service fees.

$0

  • Completely free for nonprofits and participants.
  • If donors don’t leave a tip, there are still no service fees
  • Complete access to all features on the fundraising platform
  • Auction fundraisers are charged 4.9% per item, capped at $100, under either pricing model

PERCENT PRICING

Set a fixed percent fee based on fundraising campaign types, and decide who will cover platform and payment processing fees.

4.9% to 7.5%*

    • Auctions are 4.9%, capped at $100 per item; all other campaigns (raffles, sales, A-thons, crowdfunding, and sweepstakes) are 7.5%
    • Choose how each fee is handled: absorb it, add it to the donor’s total as a disclosed line item, or give donors the option to cover it.
    • Choose to pass payment processing fees onto the donor
    • Great for large nonprofits with set budgets or organizations who prefer not to pass costs onto donors
    • Complete access to all features on the fundraising platform

Why there are two pricing models

Fundraising isn’t standardized, so Eventgroove’s pricing isn’t, either.

Instead, we offer nonprofits a choice on how they’d like to handle costs.

    What are the options?

Tip pricing is free of service fees for the nonprofit, with donors covering them through an optional tip at checkout. Percent pricing sets a fixed rate and lets the nonprofit decide whether they absorb it or add it to the donor’s total as a disclosed line item. Donation pages carry no service fee under either pricing option.

    Which is better?

That depends on your organization. Donor tipping is widely used in nonprofit fundraising and works well for many nonprofits, and can, in some cases, translate to lower overall costs. However, other nonprofits prefer to keep the checkout clear of a tip request at the moment of giving.

    What’s included

Every tool in our platform. All six campaign types: raffles, auctions, sales, A-thons, crowdfunding, and sweepstakes. All-in-one fundraising, donation pages, peer-to-peer capabilities, automated emails, the ability to connect with CRMs such as ActiveCampaign, generative AI copy assistance, Livestreaming, reports, and more fundraising features are available to anyone using Eventgroove. There are no pricing tiers or contracts. We also offer enterprise, white-label fundraising, with no contracts or upgrade fees.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to questions we hear most often about what it costs to fundraise with Eventgroove.

Does Eventgroove charge a fee on every fundraising campaign?

No. Organizations choose one of two pricing models. Under tip pricing the service fee is $0, and optional donor tips cover the platform cost. Under percent pricing the service fee is 7.5% for raffles, crowdfunding, sales, a-thons, sweepstakes, and all-in-one campaigns. Auction fundraisers are charged 4.9% per item, capped at $100, under either pricing model. Donation pages carry no service fee under either pricing model.

Is there a free plan or a paid plan?

Neither. There are no plans or tiers on the Eventgroove Fundraising platform. Every feature is available to every organization regardless of which pricing model it chooses.

Who pays the service fee, the organization or the donor?

Under tip pricing, donors cover the service fee through an optional tip, and the organization covers Stripe’s processing fee. Under percent pricing, the organizer sets who covers the service fee and who covers the processing fee independently.

What does it cost to accept recurring donations?

There is no service fee on donation pages, including recurring gifts. Only Stripe’s processing fee applies.

Who owns our recurring donors’ payment information?

Eventgroove Fundraising processes donations through each nonprofit’s own Stripe account, so recurring donors’ payment tokens are stored in the nonprofit’s account. If the nonprofit changes platforms, it can request a vault-to-vault transfer of those tokens directly from Stripe.

What if my campaign includes more than one type of fundraiser?

Each fundraiser inside an All-In-One campaign is charged 7.5% under percent pricing, including auctions. The $100 per-item cap still applies to auction items. A standalone auction is charged 4.9% per item, capped at $100.

What does it cost to sell tickets to a fundraising event?

Tickets sold through the Eventgroove ticketing platform carry a service fee of 2.0% + $0.75 per ticket, capped at $9.90 per ticket. That fee is separate from the fundraising service fee. A gala with ticketed entry and a silent auction is charged the ticketing fee on ticket sales and 4.9% on auction items. Eventgroove fundraising and Eventgroove events are integrated and run from the same account and dashboard. Full cost details are on the online ticketing pricing page. Ticketing fees apply whether a fundraising campaign uses tip pricing or percent pricing.

Can I change pricing models after my campaign is live?

Once a campaign goes live, its pricing model is locked for that campaign. You can change it any time before it goes live.
