Send text messages to your event attendees using your Twilio account directly from your Eventgroove dashboard. Here’s how.

1. Log into Twilio, or create an account

Find a link to Twilio in the Integrations page in your Eventgroove dashboard, or visit Twilio’s website.

2. Get a number

In your Twilio account, click Get A Number. This will generate a phone number you can use to send messages from.

3. Verify your phone number

If you’re using Twilio’s free trial to start, you’ll need to enter a verified number for testing. Go to Phone Numbers>Verified Caller IDs to add a verified number for testing.

4. Log into your Eventgroove dashboard

Text messaging is enabled per event, so select an event for which you want to use text messaging. On the ticketing tab, select ‘Event updates & info via text message’.

5. Return to your dashboard

Return to the dashboard (manage events>select event). Click Text Messaging in the left nav.

6. Account SID and Auth Token

Copy the Account SID and Auth Token from your Twilio dashboard homepage into the corresponding fields.

7. Verify your account

To verify your account, enter your phone number in the Verify Account section.

Note: if you are using a Twilio test account, this needs to be a phone number you verified for Twilio in step 4. You will receive a message asking you to reply with a verification code.

8. Ready to text!

Refresh the page on Eventgroove, and you should be all set! You can now start sending text messages to your event attendees. Simply enter your text into the Send Text Message field, and hit Send.
